The museum is excited to welcome Chris Hein, Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs at William & Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), for an insightful presentation on the future of our barrier Islands. Drawing on decades of fieldwork, cutting‑edge modeling, and real-world case studies, Chris explores how barrier islands along the Virginia Eastern Shore- and beyond – respond to accelerating sea-level rise, changing storm regimes, and shifting sediment supplies.
Admission is $8 per person or FREE with a museum membership. Children and active duty military and their families also enjoy free admission to these lectures!
