The Museum of Chincoteague Island Welcomes Group Tours
We offer several options and are happy to assist your travel planners to customize your visit with us on Chincoteague Island, Virginia. Advance reservations are required.
Option 1-Visit the Museum of Chincoteague Island
Admission (for groups of ten or more) is $4.00 per person. Bus driver and group leader are admitted free.
Tour the Museum and Miles Hancock Workshop, enjoy learning local history, have a photo op with the island’s most famous pony, Misty of Chincoteague, see up close our Fresnel Lighthouse lens and enjoy the fine selection of goods in our gift shop.
Duration of Museum Tour is one hour. Clean spacious restrooms are available.
Option 2-Step on Guide Service
One of our friendly knowledgeable guides will join you on your bus for a tour of Chincoteague Island. Cost is $150.00 for up to two hours of personal service designed to meet the needs of your group’s interest. Seafood, ponies, bird watching, nature, history-let us customize an experience just for you.
Option 3-Enjoy a Guided History Tour of Chincoteague Island on the Museum’s air conditioned bus.
For groups of ten to forty people, cost is $8.00 per person. Duration 1-1 ½ hours.
Option 4-Add a meal to your visit
Our Legacy Pavilion offers the perfect setting for groups of up to forty persons. Overlooking the salt marsh, Assateague Island and our beautiful lighthouse, the Legacy Pavilion can be reserved for your group to enjoy a catered meal or you are welcome to bring your own.
